Orchid Council of NZ - Whanganui

Gardening Groups

Whanganui, Manawatū-Whanganui

The Orchid Council of New Zealand (OCNZ) is a federation of independent orchid societies throughout New Zealand. The Whanganui branch is a group for people who share a love of orchids and want to learn how to grow them in a supportive environment. The OCNZ promotes the study, cultivation, and conservation of orchids.   The Whanganui branch offers several activities for members and visitors. These include: •   Monthly meetings held on the first Tuesday of every month at 7 pm in the Dempsey & Forrest Lounge, Guyton Street. •   A large library of orchid books available for use. •   An annual orchid show held in October.   The society provides a way for people to connect over a shared interest and receive advice from experienced growers. Visitors are welcome to attend meetings.
