Positioned in the south east corner of Oamaru Harbour at 10 Waterfront Road, South Hill, Oamaru 9400, our club enjoys a strategic spot adjacent to the historic Sumpters Wharf and just before the renowned Blue Penguin Colony. This prime location in Otago enhances the boating experience, offering easy access to sheltered waters ideal for learning and recreation. The surrounding regional context of Otago, with its stunning coastal scenery and maritime heritage, makes it a perfect base for yacht club members to engage in sailing sessions, power boating outings, and diving explorations. Our Thursday evening Learn To Sail programme, open to all ages, allows participants to build confidence on the water or refine racing techniques in a supportive setting.
