Visitors are always welcome, with members able to introduce friends or family to the game—your first visit is free! For casual players, we offer a modest green fee of $5.00 per adult and $2.00 for children, with all equipment provided and a complimentary cuppa to enjoy. If you are thinking of joining the first two months are free.

Located at Rutherford Park on 13 Paru Paru Road, Nelson 7010, we are right in the CBD of this stunning top-of-the-south city. With nine full-sized lawns, comfortable club rooms, and full kitchen facilities, we offer an ideal setting for both competitive matches and relaxed social play. Nelson’s welcoming community and beautiful landscapes make it the perfect backdrop for enjoying croquet, whether you're a local or just visiting the region.
Learn and Play Croquet with Us
At Nelson Hinemoa Croquet Club, getting started is easy and affordable. Our introductory offer includes coaching sessions for free and two free months before you need pay the first year subscription of $110, along with the chance to join social play on Golf Croquet club days. After that full membership fees at $220 from the second year onward. We cater to all skill levels, teaching the basics of Golf Croquet initially, with the option to progress to the strategic depth of Association Croquet. Mallets are available for hire at $50 per year, or you can purchase your own. Our club days are scheduled for Golf Croquet on Tuesdays and Sundays from 12:30 to 3.30pm pm, and Association Croquet on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 12:30 to 3:00 pm.
Group Events and Venue Hire
Looking for a unique team-building activity or a fun day out? Nelson Hinemoa Croquet Club welcomes corporate, social, and school groups to experience the game. Our members are on hand to guide you through the basics, provide equipment, and ensure a great time. Costs are $15 per person for corporate or social groups, with special arrangements available for schools. Additionally, our Pavilion is available for hire (conditions apply), offering a comfortable space for events, though alcohol is restricted to the Pavilion area.
