We fly most Wednesdays and Sundays, weather permitting, and are always excited to welcome new members, young and old, as full members or associates of other clubs.

Soaring High in Waikato

Strategically located just north of Waharoa near Matamata, our club operates from the non-active runway at Waharoa Aerodrome in the Matamata-Piako district. This unique setting provides an expansive and safe space for flying, often regarded as one of the best sites in the southern hemisphere. Nestled in the scenic Waikato region, our location offers not only excellent flying conditions but also a picturesque backdrop for our regular meetups. Our club room, a creatively converted 40-foot container, serves as a cosy base for members to gather, plan, and socialise between flights.
