About Manukau Tramping Club
When you join the Manukau Tramping Club, expect a vibrant community dedicated to exploring New Zealand's great outdoors through organised tramping adventures. We host two tramps per week during most weeks of the year, generally one on Sundays and one on Tuesdays, providing ample opportunities to connect with fellow enthusiasts and enjoy the fresh air and natural beauty of Auckland's surrounding areas. Occasional longer tramps extend over weekends or span several days, offering deeper immersion in the wilderness.
Our tramps are thoughtfully graded based on expected duration and terrain difficulty, allowing you to select outings that match your fitness and experience level. Note that these grades exclude travel time to and from the track, so plan accordingly. Whether you're a seasoned tramper or just starting out, our events are suitable for everyone keen on outdoor activities. The club's monthly meeting takes place at the Anglican Church Hall, where members gather to share stories, plan future trips, and build lasting connections in a supportive environment.
