Found in the heart of Otaihanga, Paraparaumu, our photography club proudly serves the wider Wellington region. We meet at the Otaihanga Boating Club rooms, located at 19 Makora Road, Otaihanga, providing a central and accessible spot for members across the Kapiti Coast. This beautiful coastal area offers endless inspiration for photographers, with its stunning landscapes and vibrant community. Our regular club meetings are held twice a month, on the second and fourth Mondays at 7:30 pm, from February to November. Additionally, we host Development Sessions on the first Monday of each month from March to November, ensuring there are plenty of opportunities to connect and hone your skills in this picturesque part of Wellington.
Our Activities and Programmes
At KCPS, we’ve tailored our activities to suit photographers of all skill levels. Our club, formerly known as the Waikanae Camera Club, rebranded in 2007 to reflect our broader reach across the Kapiti Coast. With this change, we’ve enhanced our programmes to offer the best learning environment possible. Our Development Sessions are a highlight, covering everything from basic skills for beginners to advanced topics like post-processing for seasoned photographers. These sessions, combined with our regular meetings, create a socially rewarding space where members can exchange ideas, challenge themselves, and build lasting connections within the Wellington photography community.
