Membership and Getting Started

Joining Hutt Bowling Club is simple and open to everyone. We offer a variety of membership options, including Full Playing, New to Bowls, Associate, Limited, Student, Social, and Mates in Bowls. If you’re new to the sport, all you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to learn – no equipment required! We provide sets of lawn bowls free of charge, and all that’s needed in terms of attire is neat, casual clothing and comfortable flat-soled shoes. Over time, you might choose to invest in a playing uniform, but there’s no rush. Coaching is also available to help you hone your skills, whether you aim to compete or just enjoy a casual roll.

Activities for All

Beyond lawn bowls, Hutt Bowling Club is a vibrant community space with plenty to offer. For competitive players, we host regular tournaments and events, while social players and non-players can enjoy a range of activities. Join us for cards (500) on Wednesdays at 2 pm, Housie on Fridays at 3 pm, or Mahjong on Mondays at 12:15 pm – everyone is welcome. We also cater to community bowls and corporate groups, and even offer indoor bowls for variety. Our venue is available for hire, making it a great choice for private functions or group events in the Wellington region.
