Howick Rhythmics offers a unique blend of dance and gymnastics elements in a caring, supportive setting designed for young athletes to flourish. As the largest Rhythmic Gymnastics club in East Auckland, we provide classes for gymnasts aged 5 and over, including both recreation and competition options. Our focus is on promoting creativity and building confidence, helping children develop well-rounded routines that harmonise their movements with apparatus and music. Founded in 2007 by Head Coach Charnay Mouldey at just 17 years old, the club has grown under the leadership of Monique Gapes, a former gymnast, supported by dedicated senior and junior coaches. This family-oriented atmosphere ensures a fun and friendly experience, where every participant feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential in rhythmic gymnastics.

Our non-profit status keeps term fees affordable, with parents and gymnasts contributing to fundraising initiatives to sustain the club's operations. Gymnasts compete in Auckland, regional, and nationwide events using a variety of apparatus, gaining skills that enhance coordination, grace, and artistic expression. The small size of our club allows for personalised attention, creating a welcoming space where children can grow as athletes in a safe, nurturing environment.
