Welcome to the Horowhenua Community Club, a vibrant community service club in New Zealand's Manawatū-Whanganui region. Previously known as Lioness, we are committed to service within the local community, embodying the spirit of lions clubs through hands-on support and collaboration. Our efforts centre on fundraising for essential initiatives, including the Waiopehu Teen Mothers Unit and Levin School Senior Class. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we placed a special focus on senior members, ensuring they remained connected and supported. We also facilitate contact for members to organise lunches and meetings outside Levin, fostering stronger bonds. With monthly meetings held on the 2nd Monday of each month and monthly lunches on the 4th Monday, we provide regular opportunities for engagement. Additionally, we actively support blood donor services and step in to assist with other community fundraising needs as they arise. As a cornerstone of local involvement, the Horowhenua Community Club invites residents to participate in these meaningful activities, promoting unity and service in Levin.
