Hamilton Tramping Club is your gateway to exciting outdoor adventures, specialising in tramping trips that cater to a range of fitness levels and interests. As a small, friendly group, we organise outings every second weekend, including day-long excursions, extended day trips, and full weekend getaways. Our day trips offer variety, from relaxed bush walks to more demanding treks into the rugged terrains of local ranges, all carefully graded to suit different abilities. These are an excellent starting point for those new to tramping.

Extended day trips allow us to venture further, departing on Saturday afternoon or evening and staying near the destination for an early Sunday start. Weekend trips strike a balance between easy and strenuous options, typically leaving at 6:00pm on Friday or early Saturday morning. Once at our destination, members immerse themselves in the natural surroundings, participating in recreational activities that highlight the joys of being away from everyday life.

Beyond the trails, we host social activities several times a year, such as evenings with guest speakers, presentations from members about their special travels, or casual pot-luck gatherings and restaurant meals. To join a trip, simply contact the designated trip leader, who can provide specifics on the route and any recommended gear. We're always keen to welcome newcomers and ensure they have a rewarding experience.
