Welcome to Green Point Yacht Club

Since its establishment in 1951, the Green Point Yacht Club has been a vibrant hub for yachting enthusiasts in Southland. With approximately 40 members, the club is dedicated to the encouragement of yachting and boating generally. It owns and manages essential slipping and dinghy storage facilities at Green Point, while also overseeing the adjacent mooring area. These facilities, constructed between 1954 and 1958, remain the only community-based recreational boating resource in the upper reaches of the harbour, offering a reliable base for local boaters to launch their adventures.
