Your Guide to Alpine Sports Club
Alpine Sports Club offers a relaxed, welcoming space for outdoor enthusiasts to explore skiing, snowboarding, tramping, mountaineering, camping, and more. Sessions and activities cater to families and individuals of all ages and skill levels, with a focus on shared experiences and building connections. Whether you're new to the outdoors or a seasoned adventurer, our club runs family-friendly trips, including popular summer camps on private property with swimming holes and daily activities. You'll also find skiing and snowboarding weekends, tramping and bushcraft outings, and midweek walks designed for older members.
Club nights bring members together on the first Tuesday of each month (except January) at 7:30pm at St Marks Anglican, featuring guest speakers and gear tips. For midweek Thursday walks and tramps, join us on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month (except January and December) – contact Clive Bolt at Thursday.Walks@alpinesport.org.nz for details. Instruction covers essential skills like alpine safety, mountain navigation, and trip planning, ensuring everyone feels supported.
