Botanical printing

Process
Plant material is bundled within pre-prepared fabric, then steamed over time to release the tanins, leaving permanent leaf imprints. Seasons, water quality, soil quality, temperature, time and the intersection of pigments within a bundle all influence the outcome. This art form requires a deep and harmonious respect for the environment.
